Wake up to the magical sunrise on the River Thames and a breathtaking view of the Windsor Castle.

Situated on the River Thames at Windsor, close to Eton Bridge and the town centre, we have this very unique waterside experience. The Royal Escape Windsor wide beam barge is 70ft long x 12ft wide.

This stylish houseboat can accommodate up to 4 guests, and the space is composed of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, a fully-functioning kitchen, wine fridge, wood burner and outside sitting areas.

The Space

Although you are on a boat, it is very spacious just like a normal 2 bed apartment. However, operating things like the showers and toilets are different to a home and instructions must be followed.

The view from the rear deck area, sitting in the sunshine drinking fizz with my family, was so lovely. There were geese, swans, ducks, etc all either swimming or flying past. Definitely an experience we would love to repeat. Thank you for allowing us to stay. If anyone is undecided I can wholeheartedly recommend that you give it a try!

					  Couldn’t knock the location and the boat was clean and very well presented.

Only issue was sent a whatsap attachment with all the information to gain entry. 

When we… read more arrived at the boat there were no lights on, we had to work out how to start the generator and electrics in the dark which wasn’t ideal. 

I would recommend you leave the lights on or greet guest as it was a little complicated on arrival.

Apart from that was a wonderful stay and would recommend.

					  We had the best time! James is a wonderful host who made sure the boat was warm and cosy for us because outside was freezing cold. He was guiding us… read more how to get there when our gps took us wrong direction, but it was actually very easy to find. The boat is on the perfect location with a great pub right across where service was just lovely! The boat was spotless clean and absolutely gorgeous! James made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we need. The best host ever! We can’t praise him enough! We had a wonderful time and will definitely like to come again and recommend it to everyone

2 minute walk from Windsor River side train station.
Near by paid parking approx £5.20 per day.

There is a pub diagonal opposite, which serves good food and drinks. Although the pub is close, there isn’t any noise which could disturb your stay.

The boat is static and can not be taken out for river trips.
